Workshop om Åben Uddannelse i den Digitale Alder ved UPT

The Politehnica University of Timișoara through the e-Learning Center organized the Workshop Open Education in the Digital Age, the 6th edition, Friday 22 March 2019.

Organized as part of Open Education Week 2019, the workshop highlighted the impact of openness in the Digital Age from policies to individuals, teachers and students.  After several years of implementation we looked into how open educational resources (OER), massive open online courses (MOOCs), Open Culture and Open Science can be integrated into all levels of education and company training. Practical examples of use and integration of mobile learning, of augmented and virtual reality in education, of open research and science, how blockchain influences education and of open and digital in culture and heritage were all presented.

With 9 speakers of international level, the workshop addressed academics, students, teachers of undergraduate education, specialists in training companies, IT or HR departments. Participation was open and free, the event was live streamed on the eLearning Center’s webpage and social media platforms, presentations were held in Romanian and English.
The Workshop was organized by the E-Learning Center of the Politehnica University of Timisoara, with the support of EDEN European Distance and e-Learning Network, IEEE Romania and some EU Erasmus+ projects (DigiCulture, OpenVM and ABCto VLE).
