During Open Education Week 2019, EDEN (European Distance and e-Learning Network) organized a series of webinaries focused on the impact of open education, the importance of open educational resources and online courses, changes in global higher education due to the digital world and open education.

Dr. Diana Andone, director of the eLearning Centre at the Politehnica University of Timisoara was one of the speakers of the webinar OER quality assessment.

In the context of open education, quality assurance and verifying tools are necessary. During this webinar a series of perspectives were debate, thanks to the participation of several experts in various fields. The quality model of the DigiCulture project was presented as a study case.

The moderator was Antonella Poce, EDEN Fellow, EDEN NAP SC Chair, University Roma III, Italy and the other speakers were Gemma Tur Ferrer, Ulf-Daniel Ehlers, Ebba Ossiannilsson, Neil Butcher, Antonella Poce, Svetlana Knyazeva.

The Open Education Week (OEW) is a celebration of the global movement of open education. Its objective is to raise awareness about this movement and the impact it has over education and over learning all over the world, but also over the open and free education opportunities which exist for anyone, anywhere, right now.
