Progetto DigiCulture al Workshop internazionale Educazione aperta in tempi di pandemia

On Wednesday, March 3, 2021, DigiCulture project was presented during the 8th edition of the workshop Open Education in pandemic times.

2021 brought an extremely diverse edition of speakers, with a very good gender balance, with young researchers full of enthusiasm but also professors with years of experience behind, with opinions of students but also the perspective of decision makers, with guests from other universities from Timișoara but also from the country, with many international guests presenting both the didactic and the organizational perspective, with various engineering fields, all accompanied by the obvious passion for open education.

Il Digital Culture project was presented in various sessions of the workshop, sessions with valuable content about transnational projects, aimed at raising the standards of digitalization and digital education and especially to open ways of collaboration and cooperation between European universities and institutions, with different innovative approaches that will contribute to the opening of education and educational resources and to support all actors in education and the creative industries.

The project logo was also part of the visual identity of the workshop, organized within the global event Open Education Week 2021.

During the first part of the workshop, Dr. Diana Andone spoke about the DigiCulture project, its objectives, but also the Open Badges (digital certificates), in her presentation on Virtual Mobility and Micro-credits. As there is a clear gap in creative and cultural industries, education related to digital technologies, the DigiCulture – Improving the Digital Competences and Social Inclusion of Adults in Creative Industries – project aims a large variety of people, from teachers who can find creative ways to interact with their students, people involved in the creative industries and students who can find opportunities for learning.

The first part of the workshop was followed by a partner event - organized within EDEN OEW: Online educational courses on cultural topics – helping the Creative Industries sector reinvent itself during a crisis- EDEN NAP webinar, where Dr. Diana Andone presented the DigiCulture project , as well as the 13 courses developed with the help of partner universities. It involves the use and development of an open online and mobile course Digital Skills and Social Inclusion for Creative Industries, built as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), an innovative adult educational program of 13 modules, that are now available online and completely free for use.
