And featured keynote speakers, round table and panel sessions as\nwell as individual presentations in each track. The aim was for decision-makers\nand practitioners to explore innovative and emerging trends in online education\ndelivery, and the strategic policy that supports them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop in Naples was carried out by the Center for Museum Studies of the Roma TRE University at \u201cCitt\u00e0 della Scienza\u201d the biggest Science Center in the South of Italy. Museum educators who operate at \u201cCitt\u00e0 della Scienza\u201d took part in the workshop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"664\" src=\"https:\/\/digiculture.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/digiculture_workshop_invitation_emoocs-1024x664.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2194\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digiculture.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/digiculture_workshop_invitation_emoocs-1024x664.png 1024w, https:\/\/digiculture.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/digiculture_workshop_invitation_emoocs-300x194.png 300w, https:\/\/digiculture.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/digiculture_workshop_invitation_emoocs-768x498.png 768w, https:\/\/digiculture.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/digiculture_workshop_invitation_emoocs-465x301.png 465w, https:\/\/digiculture.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/digiculture_workshop_invitation_emoocs-695x450.png 695w, https:\/\/digiculture.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/digiculture_workshop_invitation_emoocs.png 1503w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop was designed to\noffer to the participants the opportunity to develop the outline of a MOOC on\ndigital skills for Creative Industries (CI) employers. The topic of the\nworkshop <strong>\u201c<em>Developing digital skills through MOOCs and OERs for Creative Industry\nemployers<\/em>\u201d<\/strong> concerns to the way MOOCs can be designed to fill in the\ndigital skills gap of people who operate in CI and how they can promote social\ninclusion, media literacy, intercultural competences and the 4C skills\n(critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration; Trilling &amp;\nFadel, 2009). In addition, it is focused on the concept of openness, inclusive\nuse and development of OERs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop lasted\napproximately 2 hours. The workshop was also aimed to support networking among\npeople who operate in the field of CI, digital skills and open education,\nenforcing the impact of their previous experiences. To sum up, the workshop had the following objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>to present the DigiCulture\nproject and and the Conceptual Framework of Digital Competences for Culture and\nCreative Industries;<\/li><li>to guarantee full access to the\nintellectual outputs of the DigiCulture project by presenting the online\nlocations on the project partners\u2019 websites where participants can be accessed.<strong><\/strong><\/li><li>to invite participants to reflect\non the possibilities for digital skills development in CI sectors (Museums,\ngalleries and libraries; Music, performing and visual arts; Advertising and\nmarketing; Architecture; Crafts; Design; Film, TV, video, radio and\nphotography; IT, software and computer services; Publishing and Tourism);<strong><\/strong><\/li><li>to invite participants to design\na MOOC for adult of CI aimed at developing digital skills and, at the same\ntime, other transversal skills such as communication, collaboration, social\ninclusion, creativity and critical thinking;<strong><\/strong><\/li><li>to select existing OERs in order to create online learning activities\nand share research materials in the field of digital skills development for CI\nsectors.<strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The group of participants was\ncomposed by 18 teachers, researchers, trainers and educators who work in the\nfield of digital skills and\/or Creative Industries sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the workshops, participants\nself-assessed their transverse competences promoted during the in-group\nactivities through a self-evaluation survey composed by both closed and\nopen-ended questions where participants were asked to reflect on workshops\u2019\ncontents and experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants assessed positively the impact of the\nworkshop on their transversal skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most appreciated workshop characteristic was\n\u201cmeeting other delegates and talking about Digital Literacy\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team members\nthat participated were Antonella Poce and Maria Rosaria Re from University of\nRoma Tre, Italy, Diana Andone from Universitatea Politehnica Timisoara,\nRomania, Mairead Nic Giolla Mhichil from Dublin City University, Ireland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EMOOCs 2019 MOOC stakeholders summit (20-22 May 2019) comprised the consolidated format of Research and Experience, Policy and Business tracks, as well as interactive workshops.
